Liposculpture
As the face ages, it gradually loses volume through a process known as fat atrophy. This process accelerates over time, often leading to an unhealthy, tired, or prematurely aged appearance.
Fat is LIQUID GOLD!! Fat transfer, which uses one’s own fat cells, reverses this effect by providing structural support to soft tissues and restoring facial fullness.
Fat transfer has diverse applications. Cosmetically, it contours and rejuvenates facial tissues, and it also improves the appearance and skin flexibility of trauma or acne scars, surface depressions, accidental damage, burns, and certain congenital conditions. Evidence suggests that grafted fat enhances healing and improves the condition of overlying skin due to its high stem cell content and ability to form new blood vessels. The effects of fat grafting can last for many years, though the procedure can be repeated if necessary.

Procedure
Candidates
A person with a small or recessed chin, that seems to disappear into the neck of an individual of normal weight rather than appearing as a distinct facial feature.
A person with a weak jaw can be thought of as one that is not well defined and distinct from the neck or one that slopes rather than angles from the ear to the chin.
A person with a malar region which is recessed or flat impacting the overall facial balance and contour.
Pre-operative
Determining the ideal type and size of facial implants for you involves evaluating your goals, the features you wish to improve, and your surgeon’s expert judgment.
- You need to undergo lab tests or a medical evaluation.
- Take specific medications or adjust your current ones.
- Stop smoking.
- Avoid aspirin, anti-inflammatory drugs, and herbal supplements, as they can increase bleeding and bruising.
Procedure
To ensure comfort during facial implant surgery, medications are used, including intravenous sedation and general anesthesia, with the best option recommended by your doctor. Cheek implants are typically positioned through incisions in the mouth, though alternate sites like the lower eyelid or hairline may be used if combined with other procedures. Chin implants may be placed through an incision inside the mouth along the crease where the lower lip meets the gums or beneath the chin. Jaw implants are generally inserted through mouth incisions along the jawline. Incisions are closed with absorbable sutures or stitches, which are removed within one to two weeks.
Post-op Care
After your facial implant procedure, bandages or dressings may be applied to keep the surgical site clean and support the implant’s position during the initial healing phase.
When it comes to the pain, you’ll definitely feel sore after the procedure. Swelling, discomfort, and bruising are also typical. Your doctor will prescribe painkillers and other necessary medications you should take during the recovery. In general, the recovery process is gradual and depends on the procedure, your general health, age, and other similar factors. Most people fully recover from facial implant surgery within a week or two, but it can take longer.

After properly caring for the fat graft and closely following Dr. Sameer’s post-operative instructions, you can expect your final results to be long-lasting! Because the transferred fat integrates with its new surroundings, including creating a new blood supply, it will be there to stay. If you lose significant weight after your fat transfer procedure, your results may not endure. It is important to maintain a stable weight after fat grafting in order to keep your amazing results for many years to come.
When your surgeon injects the fat, they will overfill the space by 20% or 30%. This is because some fat will die during the first two or three months after fat transfer. The fat that survives isn’t absorbed by the body and will stay there for years.
Many patients report that the fat transferred during fat grafting will remain there for 10 or 20 years, or even longer. However, transferred fat acts just like regular fat, which can change with age and weight changes.
We understand that as time passes, you may desire a different physique or may have experienced weight gain. No worries, as long as you maintain a healthy lifestyle and are a candidate, you may reverse your fat transfer with VASER Liposuction. The excess fat deposits will be removed from your body and your frame will be sculpted to greatness. We can appreciate your desire to keep your options open, but after natural looking fat transfer, reversing your results may not even cross your mind!
One fat grafting procedure usually does the job for face enhancements, but a few may need a follow-up procedure.
If you have scars or depressions, two to four fat grafting procedures may be needed. Your plastic surgeon will review your case and know how many fat grafting sessions you need.
